Are There Any Deposits?
We don’t require any deposits or up front payments for garage roof replacement projects. A small booking fee may be requested for products that are made-to-measure or bespoke.
Can You Replace the Roof if it is Attached to a House or Neighbouring Garage?
If your garage is attached to a neighbours roof, we install an adjoining flashing to prevent water ingress on either side without disrupting your neighbour’s garage.
In the instance where the garage is adjoined to your house, we will use a lead flashing material called ‘Lead R’ to ensure water does not come in where the garage roof meets the house wall.
Can You Structurally Modify the Roof in Any Way?
On top of replacing the roof like-for-like, we offer flat-to-pitched roof conversions to allow for more headroom and can also reduce the length of your garage.
Asbestos Garage Roof Replacement
The data shows that more than 3 out of 4 garage roofs are asbestos. Although Asbestos is still classified as a hazardous material, due to very low Asbestos content it is considered to have a very low risk potential and although we always recommend due diligence when dealing with Asbestos if your roofing panels are undamaged and undisturbed the risk to your health is minimal.
Should your asbestos garage roof have suffered any impact damage or deterioration then a little more caution is required, avoid unnecessary exposure and take care to minimise disturbance until you can have the garage roof replaced.
